Iraqi Ministry Update from Jordan
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We are pleased to share with you an update on our recent activities in Jordan with the Iraqi Ministry. Earlier this month, we were blessed to be joined by Dr. James Witty of Care Corps International, a psychologist and a long-time board member of Christian Mission to Gaza. Together, we conducted house visits to some of the Iraqi refugee families, offering them companionship, and prayers, and exploring ways our ministry can better assist them.
One family we visited particularly touched our hearts.
Two brothers and their families fled to Jordan in 2014, seeking refuge from the war. They have been living together, awaiting visas, but have faced multiple rejections. Their parents were granted visas to Australia and were assured by the embassy that within 20 days, the brothers would join them. They prepared to leave, but unfortunately, that promise never materialized, and they remained in Jordan.
In November 2020, tragedy struck when one of the brothers lost his wife to COVID-19. This left him in deep depression and unable to provide for his three young children. His brother and sister-in-law stepped in to care for the children. Reflecting on their journey, the brother now believes that their visa rejections were part of a greater plan. Had they been granted visas, the children would have been left without close family during such a difficult time.
A poignant moment in this family's story is that the wife and mother who passed away accepted Jesus shortly before her death. This has brought comfort and hope to the family amidst their sorrow.
Please continue to keep the Iraqi refugees and our ministry in your prayers.
Dr. James Witty also spent 2 days teaching a workshop to our Iraqi refugees for trauma counseling. They engaged in sessions on counseling, leadership, and more. This workshop provided an invaluable opportunity for our leaders to reflect on their roles, enhance their skills, and grow together in their mission.

Your support and intercession are invaluable as we strive to bring Christ's love and support to those in need.
Please look forward to an update on Gaza early next week.
Your prayers and support are vital, especially during this time.
Blessings,
