A Testimony of Faith and Provision from Gaza

Dear Brothers & Sisters In Christ,

We are moved to share a powerful story from Gaza. over the past few days, our leaders and our dedicated team have been able to reach over 4,000 people with both food and clean drinking water all over Gaza, including in Jabalia, which has been under siege for the last few weeks. We have been able to help 278 families who have been sheltering in the Churches and around with cash to be able to get some necessities. Amid challenging circumstances, God’s provision shines through, and it is with grateful hearts that we thank each of you.

During these distributions, our team received heartfelt messages from those we serve.

A child asked me if the rice was good. I replied, "Yes, it is good." He then said, "By God, uncle, it's been a month that we've been eating only canned food. Our stomachs are ruined from it."

An elderly woman approached me and asked if the rice was for the camp. I replied, "Yes." She asked, "For the whole camp?" Again, I said, "Yes." Then she asked, "Who is providing it?" I told her, "The Baptist Church." She responded, "May God bless them, provide for them, and grant success in all their work."

She continued, "I am a resident of Beit Hanoun. I left behind 20 dunams of land where we plant strawberries every year. Two of my buildings were destroyed in the bombings. My children were murdered, and my husband had a stroke. I am now caring for him, and the situation is truly tragic and extremely difficult." She added, "Glory be to the Changer of conditions, and praise be to God for everything."

She then expressed her gratitude once more to the church and those who oversee it. In her eyes, I saw both patience and sorrow. I told her, "May God grant you patience, my aunt, and may this suffering end soon."

Signs at the distribution points state, "Donated by Gaza Baptist Church." These signs help ensure that those receiving relief know it comes from the Church and the Christian community, as a way to show God's love and provision. This is a tangible expression of how we serve others through our faith, reflecting God's compassion and care for those in need.

An elderly man approached me, read the sign, and noticed it was from the church. He said, "May God bless them, our Christian brothers who care for us, while our Muslim leaders sit by, watching and doing nothing to help us." He then began expressing his grievances against the Arab leadership.

Your prayers, encouragement, and support are making this outreach possible, allowing us to extend Christ’s love in tangible ways to those enduring profound hardship. These efforts are carried out under the care of Gaza Baptist Church, which continues to be a beacon of hope.

As we move forward, let us remain steadfast in prayer, asking the Lord to raise up peacemakers on both sides, and to bring healing and hope to all those affected.

As always, I love to hear and connect with you.

In Christ's Love,

Pastor Hanna Massad
